Are American Eagle Jeans true to size for the bigger sizes?
Ok I’m in desperate of new jeans cause the ones Im wearing are getting big. But I still have to buy big clothes. Im now at Old Navy a 16 in jeans but I know that depending on the seller my size might vary. I’m thinking about buying some straight leg jeans from American eagle and so my question is do they fit true to size or should I go ahead and buy an 18 online? Also do they stretch out easily?
Thanks in advance for the help.
well i recently bought some straight legs from american eagle..i had to go a size higher because some of them dont stretch that much. i suggest you go to an american eagle clothing store and try them on there just in case or just order them..i think you can return them also..
btw im a size 12 but i got a size 14 if that helps
I worked at American Eagle for a year, and I know for a fact their jeans arent that great, you’ll have to go up a size with a straight leg, and most of the jeans have no budge at all.
and they are a bit over priced, I prefer Charlette Russe Jeans “refuge” theyre amazing and usually cheaper.

nonono DONT buy a size bigger…i ordered 2 pairs of jeans from there as small as possible and when i got them they were huge so i cant even use them just order your size….there not like abercrombie jeans.
The jeans have definatly gotten smaller in the past few years. Especially when you buy straight leg jeans, you will need to go up a size no matter where you buy from ( since they are meant to fit perfectly, leaving no room to move). I would rethink buying jeans from AE..
1. their jeans quality isnt that great.
2. they are a bit pricey.. i used to buy jeans for 29.50.. now they are up to the $40 at least.
3. not worth the price.
look around for at some other places. i know that they are more expensive.. but Abercrombie jeans are really high quality. i have had the same pair for 2 years! They are my absolute favorite jeans. Also Target has great jeans now too!
hope i could help =)
