The Film Career of Jean Luc Godard
Jean Luc Godard does things the way he wants them, he’s is own man, nobody not even his loyal audience sways him, he makes movies his way, no other way. Cinema meant so much to Godard, he viewed the course with which it would take with horror and derision, this is the guy who debunked Spielberg as, well, not very good. An early apostle to the cine clubs that proliferated Paris in the fifties, he made contact with fellow devotees Truffaut, Jacques Rivette and Eric Rohmer. It was they that espoused the auteur theory – the film was the director’s, it was their vision, films were not collaborations – the cast and crew did what the director directed and it was the director’s job to do just that – direct. Godard’s first feature came in 1959, A Bout de Souffle/Breathless, it formed part of the New Wave movement, which was characterised by shooting quickly and on low budgets dealing with contemporary life and youth culture and perceived in an unsentimental manner. Godard broke with all conventions of filming, delighting in smashing axiomatic rules and conventions. Godard’s output following A Bout de Souffle was prolific, producing two or three films every year. His next feature Un Petit Soldat (1960) cast Anna Karina, the Danish model who would become Godard’s muse and regular leading lady throughout the first half of the 1960s.With Pierrot le fou (1965) Godard embarked on a new film form that blurred the demarcation between cinematic narrative and cinematic essay.

Find the Jean Style That Suits your Shape Best
Jeans and denim trousers will continue to be popular in the coming seasons. With so many different styles to choose from, it can get quite confusing to pick the right pair for your body type. Following are a few guidelines for every shape:
Petite
Look for a low-rise straight or skinny leg. Stay away from capris, flares and too much embellishment, which cut the length of your legs. Also avoid higher rises, because they make your torso look shorter.
Boyish
The trendy low-rise skinny jean or sandblasted denim is made for your shape. Smaller or lower sitting back pockets create the
illusion of curves. Refrain from wearing looser fits, which create a more masculine look.
Pear
Go for a slight boot-cut or straight leg to balance a bigger hip and thigh. Make sure the jeans are snug, but not too tight round
your thigh. A medium to higher-rise is recommended. Larger or higher sitting back pockets will make a large bum appear smaller.
Apple
In order to create the slimmest look, wear a slim-leg stretch-denim boot cut or a straight leg. A high rise helps camouflage a few extra pounds in the midsection. Higher sitting back pockets will lift your behind.
Plus size
Look for a mid- to high-rise straight-leg in dark denim, preferably with a little stretch (2% spandex/lycra). Men’s styles may also fit you well. Avoid tapered legs and bulky front pockets.
Jeanology Stretch denim skinny jean
- Skinny-fit, tapered-cut stretch jeans. Low rise; 32” inseam (29” Petite; 35” Tall). Stonewashed and sandblasted rainy cotton denim with spandex stretch. Machine wash. Imported.

Beaulieu, St Jean Cap Ferrat Ou Villefranche : Le Triangle D’or De La Côte D’azur
